  • Establishing back to back arrangement at the bidding stage itself. Extensive computer facilities and communication network.
  • Systematic and continuous development of vendors to meet the demands of turnkey projects
  • Procurement with objective of ordering and receipt of materials with shortest possible cycle time to meet the Project schedules.

Project Management

Each project is headed by a Project Manager handling the following activities:

Ensuring that all information received / developed during the basic engineering stage is finalized.

Developing the task force team identifying the key personnel of the project.

Developing the project scope and procedure

Issuing job instructions

Issuing the project schedule

Giving the quantum of work to be completed for the various activities of the project.

Issuing the monthly schedules to each section and reviewing the progress every week.

Holding the review meetings internally as well as with customers and sub-vendors.

Monthly progress reports and exceptional reports.

Monitoring the progress by periodical visits to the job sites.

Coordinating with commissioning group.

BHEL HPVP has made yet another break through in the manufacturing and supply of critical process equipment for Petroleum Refineries by supplying a huge monolith " Vacuum Column " 9.6 Mtr Diameter , 61.1 Mtr. Long and Weighing 560 MT in single piece.

BHEL HPVP designed and fabricated the special lifting trunnions, tailing lugs etc . which need to take on heavy loads during erection. The Vacuum Column is fabricated in a Record time of 15 Months.

This big piece of equipment was transported on Barge by sea from Visakhapatnam Port to Haldia Port in single piece and by Road by Haldia Port to IOCL Refinery. Erection was carried out by Hydraulic Jack Method using Triangular Tower Derricks.
